House Cleaning Emergency

Address the Mess with Clean House

For fans of reality TV, Clean House on the Style Network is must see TV. The premise of the show is to help people who have let their homes become a big mess. Often the mess is the result of a build up of clutter and complete lack of any organization. Obviously keeping a cluttered home clean is almost impossible. The show provides insight into how living in a dirty, messy home impacts the lives of the residents, tearing couples apart or making children too embarrassed to invite friends home.

Each episode begins with a short montage introducing the family that is the subject of the mess makeover. The Clean House team is called in and while assessing the mess inject some humor into the situation. Niecy Nash, who recently appeared on Dancing With The Stars is the host. The rest of the cast are Mark Brunetz, the Design Guru, comedic actress Trish Suhr the “Yard Sale Diva,” and the handyman Matt Iseman. Invariably the first task to tackle with be clearing the clutter and so Niecy and team will convince the family to see their belongings at a yard sale so the money can be used for the makeover. If they can raise up to $1000 on the yard sale, the production budget will match that as well as supply all paint and labor.

Clean House is currently running their Search for The Messiest Home in the Country. From Oahu to St Louis, there are families who are prepared to give viewers a peek inside their messy homes for their five minutes of fame or just to start down the road to renovating their homes and rehabilitating their dysfunctional families. If you’re interested in watching Clean House you can view the show schedule on their website. While their you can also meet the Cast, meet the Families and my personal favorite, see the Gallery of Before & Afters.

House Cleaning Help

House Cleaning Help

House Cleaning Help

Why is it that what seems like five minutes after you vacuumed, scrubbed, and dusted to the point of exhaustion – the house is a mess again. Sometimes it can be hard keeping up with the housework and precious weekends are spent catching up. Hiring a professional to help with the housework can be a great way to ease some of the load but finding help can seem like a daunting process.

There are several decisions to be made about what kind of help you need. One of these it to decide whether you’d prefer an individual cleaner or a cleaning company. Whether you decide hire an individual or a company it is probably advisable to be at home for the first visit or two to provide guidance as to how you like your cleaning to be done. You should also point out valuable or fragile items or even put them away in a safe place on cleaning days.

Hiring a housekeeper yourself can be particularly daunting. You will need to work on terms of employment—duties to perform, pay, schedule, and benefits—and put them in writing. For most this is too much to take on so hiring a service whether an individual contractor or cleaning company can be easier.

Prices for house cleaning services can vary a great deal. It is worth comparing several companies and options but this can be time consuming. Most companies will not provide estimates over the phone without first conducting a home inspection so arranging on-site visits for multiple companies can be time consuming. The Bidmycleaning online marketplace helps you do this in the most convenient, time saving way possible by providing multiple bids from several local cleaners. Bids are from individual cleaners and cleaning companies and provide all the information you need to help you choose the one that fits your needs.

Bidmycleaning.com is a Most Promising Startup

Bidmycleaning.com is a Most Promising Startup

We are very excited to join the lineup of  Business Week’s Most Promising Startups!   The piece written by John Tozzi describes Bidmycleaning.com as a Web site designed to connect clients with cleaners in a transaction as smooth as buying books on Amazon (AMZN).   He really captured our value proposition which is that we offer a new simple way to find and schedule cleaning services all online in just minutes.

After launching in Houston and San Diego offering house cleaning service bids we quickly grew to our marketplace to list bids from cleaning service providers in over 20 featured locations and introduced our Bidmycleaning’s Choice program to offer service nationwide.   By entering your zip code and selecting whether you want maid service, window or carpet cleaning, you can immediately see bids from several vetted cleaning companies in your neighborhood in any of our featured locations.  If you are outside one of those then you will see a bid for the service from our Bidmycleaning’s Choice program.  If you select this bid then we will attempt to find you a trusted local cleaner that meets our rigorous screening criteria and who will clean your home at the bid price we quoted you.  This way we do all the legwork for you and all you have to do it accept the price, schedule your service and wait for the cleaner to arrive.  Payments are all handled securely online and you are only billed once the cleaning has been completed.  We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

It is becoming more common for people to seek green or eco-friendly cleaning services and so we include a search filter which allows you to only view bids from cleaning providers who are able to provide an organic service using green products or who exlusively use green products.

Here are the Top 10 reasons why you will love Bidmycleaning.com.
